Refund Policies
Refund policies for each program are listed below. If you have any questions about these policies please contact the club treasurer.
2027 Spring Travel Team
Travel Team Refund Policy Mountain Lions Hockey Accepting a roster spot is a commitment to the full travel team program. Mountain Lions Hockey makes financial commitments based on confirmed rosters, including tournament entries, ice rentals, uniforms, and staffing. ### Player Withdrawal All withdrawal and refund requests must be submitted in writing to Mountain Lions Hockey through the club’s contact page. The date the written request is received will determine when the withdrawal takes effect. Before the program begins, any refund will be limited to fees paid, less the player’s share of documented, nonrecoverable program commitments and any personalized items already ordered. Deductions will not exceed the player’s total program fee, and the club will provide a breakdown. Once the program begins, no refunds are provided for voluntary withdrawal, missed practices, missed games, scheduling conflicts, or changes in personal travel plans, except as described below or required by law. ### Replacement Players If an approved replacement player fills the roster spot and pays the applicable program fee, Mountain Lions will reassess the withdrawing player’s refund. The club will not retain duplicate payments for the same costs. Replacement players must be approved by Mountain Lions and meet tournament eligibility requirements. Families may not transfer roster spots privately. ### Injury or Illness If an injury or illness prevents participation, families may request a refund review. Documentation confirming that the player cannot participate and the expected period of restriction may be requested; a detailed medical history is not required. A medical refund is not guaranteed. Any refund will depend on recoverable costs, services already provided, and whether the roster spot can be filled. ### Payment Plans If a payment plan is offered, it divides the total program fee into installments; it does not create a monthly membership. Withdrawal does not automatically cancel the remaining balance. Mountain Lions will review the account under this policy and confirm any remaining amount due or refund in writing. ### Cancellation by Mountain Lions If Mountain Lions cancels a team or the entire program before it begins, families will receive a full refund of program fees paid. If Mountain Lions cancels part of a program after it has begun, families will receive a proportionate refund for the canceled services that are not provided. ### Tournament Cancellations & Schedule Changes Tournament dates, venues, opponents, divisions, and game schedules may change. Routine schedule changes do not automatically qualify for a refund. If a tournament or other program activity is canceled by a third party, Mountain Lions will explain available alternatives and any recoverable funds. Refunds received and costs avoided for a canceled activity will be allocated fairly to affected families, less any replacement activity they agree to accept. Credits will be offered as an option rather than substituted for an otherwise payable refund without the family’s agreement. ### Uniforms & Apparel Personalized uniforms and apparel cannot be refunded once ordered because of a player’s withdrawal. Families remain entitled to receive any items charged to them. This does not affect remedies for defective or incorrectly supplied items. ### Processing Fees & Personal Travel Third-party payment processing fees may be nonrefundable to the extent they are not returned by the payment provider and applicable law permits. Families are responsible for the cancellation terms of their own flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel arrangements. Program refunds do not include reimbursement for personal travel expenses. ### Refund Review Mountain Lions will acknowledge written requests within 10 business days. If additional time is needed to confirm tournament refunds or other recoverable expenses, families will receive an update. Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method. Payment-provider processing times may vary. By registering and accepting a roster spot, the parent or guardian acknowledges that they have read and accepted this policy. Nothing in this policy limits rights or refunds required by applicable law.
