Player Code of Conduct
Mountain Lions Hockey — Conduct & Discipline Policy
Mountain Lions Hockey maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward bullying, hazing, harassment, discrimination, threats, abuse, and other unsafe or harmful conduct by players, parents, guardians, coaches, or staff. This policy applies to all camps, tournament teams, practices, games, team activities, and team-related communications.
Coaches may address minor misconduct through corrective instruction, verbal warnings, brief removal from an activity, or benching for part or all of a game, as appropriate to the player’s age and the circumstances. Physical exercise will not be used as punishment. Any removal from participation or game benching for disciplinary reasons will be reported to the program director and the player’s parent or guardian.
Serious or repeated misconduct may result in a parent meeting, a behavior agreement, temporary suspension, or removal from the camp or team. Immediate protective measures may be taken when necessary for safety. Significant disciplinary decisions will follow the review process outlined in the Mountain Lions Hockey Player & Parent Handbook, including an opportunity for the family to respond and request reconsideration.
Suspected abuse or other reportable misconduct will be referred to the appropriate authorities as required. Applicable tournament or governing-body disciplinary procedures remain in effect. Safety concerns may be reported immediately, and retaliation against anyone making a good-faith report is prohibited.
